My name is Benesi; Rebecca Somer.  I am a Status Indigenous Freelance Artist, Writer, and Recreational Assistant.  Currently living in Tkaronto, Canada of Treaty 13. 
I have years of experience photographing and decorating for special events, booking entertainers, video editing, facilitating group programs, sound editing, creating seasonal education boards, calendars, newsletters, brochures, worksheet colouring pages, and posters.
In 2019-2020, I led workshops about the Wampum Belts and the History of Colonization with other facilitators in the Toronto District School Board in Grades K to 12 as a volunteer at Canadian Roots Exchange (Indigenous Youth Roots).
At the Canadian Roots Exchange Gathering Event, I was hired as a Guest Speaker about Creating Your Narrative Through Photography with an Indigenous Perspective in 2020.
